Description not saved

Just installed art calendar and am having problems. When I add new event from my Joomla - Art Calendar - Events page, no description is saved even if added. If I open the event to edit it, I can add a description which is then saved. Have tried several times and it is the same every time. Why is this not saved the first time when entered and most importantly, how do I fix it?
