What is the default directory that the Carousel looks in to find images?

As far as I can tell, I don't have a "JOOMLA_DIR" as you mention in other responses. Under 'Libraries', there is a Joomla directory, and an 'Image' folder under that. I also have an 'Images' folder under /Public_html where I store most of my images. However, I tried putting /Public_html/Images/xxxxx.jpg in the Image 1 box, and still got no image. I'm stumped.
