Starting with Joomla 3 it was decided that jQuery was going to be included in the core much like mootools was included in the core in past versions of Joomla. Many hailed this as a great decision (including myself) due to jQuery’s great features and it’s widespread use on some of the biggest websites in the world.

2014 was an amazing year for the Joomla! Certification Project. In the past year we’ve gathered leaders and team members from across the world, launched a successful pilot program at the Joomla! World Conference 2014, cultivated serious discussions with the Joomla community and have moved closer than ever to a viable, live professional certification for Joomla! Administrators.

After one year of working on the brand manual, which describes how to correctly use the Joomla! logo, we are now ready to share this work with all of you.
As you may already know, Joomla 2.5 reached its end of life at the end of December 2014. Because official Joomla 2.5 support has been discontinued, we are also discontinuing our Joomla 2.5 extensions. All of our current J2.5 extensions will still be available they just will not be receiving some of the great and innovative updates that are coming to many of our Joomla 3.x extensions.
As you may know, Artetics.com came under new ownership at the beginning of January. After getting to know some of the extensions and exploring the site, we started working on a new look and feel with an emphasis on customer support.
Greetings Joomlers!
I have an important message to share with you regarding Joomla’s participation in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) this year. Unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control, Joomla was not accepted to participate in GSoC 2015.
Don't let anyone tell you that you are too inexperienced to speak at a conference – everyone has something to share. Do you really think that people were born as speakers – everyone has to speak for the first time. The thought of speaking in front of an audience can be scary even for experienced speakers. It requires a lot of planning, preparation and practice – don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
